So often the good comes through...

Tom Ehrich's words in his daily meditations often pierce my heart, in a gentle way.
"Light is overcoming darkness. Goodness is entering the human drama. Kindness and mercy are abroad in a violent land. People are doing the right thing, not the convenient or self-serving thing. Workers of grace are finding each other and making common cause."
I'll look for this today.

Happy Birthday to Coco

Coco turned 11 on January 10th.
We gave her canned venison and potatoes for her birthday. Yummy!

Better late than never!

Sightseeing around Washington
Richard is 6'5" so you can imagine how big this monument is.

Rest and a loving atmosphere

Yesterday meant the start of an incredibly demanding year to come at work. The word grueling comes to mind. Yet, the holidays were a time of rest and renewal for me. I was surrounded by people I love and there was no pressure to get it right or do it better, or produce the perfect meal, etc. Just being and listening was great!
My greatful thanks to Richard, Isa, Luis, and Porky!
P.S. Hopefully tomorrow or Saturday, I'll post some pictures of the holidays, so check back!
